Join us nightly in this week dedicated to kids learning about the Fruit of the Spirit in fun, interactive ways. We want kids to know that…

  • God wants you to know Him.
  • You can know God through His Word.
  • God sent Jesus to save us.
  • God sent His Spirit to help you.
  • You can help others know God.

Program is held July 22-26, nightly from 5:30-8:30pm at Heartland Community Church, 6434 Shelby 150, Bethel MO.

How to Pre-Register
Our children’s ministry uses a check-in system for church services, and will be utilizing it for VBS as well. If you’d like to save time the day of the event, you can pre-register your child online. It’s almost time to POWER UP! Click here to pre-register your children to attend.

Heartland Community Church Ribbon Cutting

Posted by on Jun 4, 2019 in News & Events | 0 comments

We are so excited for our upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for the new church building, and hope you will join us at 6434 Shelby 150, Bethel, MO (just off Rt. E between Newark and Bethel, MO.) The event will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 6th and continue until 5:00pm with special guests, refreshments, and tours of the new building.

This summer marks the 24th anniversary of the church, which was started by pastor Charles and Laurie Sharpe in 1995. Dr. Kris Palmer stepped into the lead role following Pastor Charlie’s death in 2017. The congregation has been meeting in the auditorium of the Heartland Christian Academy building for many years. Last summer, we broke ground for the new building during a ceremony that included a giant back-hoe, along with individual shovels for the children and many shovels from local homes.

Brown Construction from Nebraska has been the general contractor for the new building. Several local companies have won bids and played a part in the final product.

Pastor Kris and Martha Palmer encourage all friends and neighbors to attend this event and get a first-look at the new building. They hope the building will become a gathering spot for anyone in the area who does not have a church home. Guests and visitors are always welcome to drop in.

For more information on this event or other services, please contact the church office at 660-284-6330 or visit the website at www.hlandchurch.org.

Posted by on May 14, 2019 in News & Events | 0 comments

Looking for a great family-friendly event for our Independence holiday? Join us Friday evening, July 5th, for a “Salute to Freedom” at the Heartland Community, between Newark and Bethel, Missouri. There will be live music by The Homestead Pickers (from Branson’s Silver Dollar City), free food, and a great fireworks show. Admission is free, and will take place outdoors at 101 Nations Boulevard, Bethel MO 63434. Click here for directions.

The Pickers are a very special collection of four seasoned performers, musicians, comedians, actors, storytellers, and composers with many years of experience entertaining audiences both in Branson and around the United States as well as tours of Ireland. Their performing home is the McHaffie Homestead cabin built in 1843 and located on the main street of Silver Dollar City. Their eclectic blend of fiddle, banjo, guitar, hammered dulcimer, and unique vocals depict the early days of American music, bluegrass, gospel, and even some Irish tunes with humor unmatched by any other combination. They have a dozen or more CD releases as well as a 2-CD, 36-song Homeschooler’s Folksong Collection which includes a 68-page lyric booklet of a study of the origins of American music and two volumes of DVD performances, all offered on their website. They’ve performed for governors, senators, preachers, and presidents.

The Homestead Pickers have thrilled millions over the years with their antics and top-notch musicianship and they continue to be the highest rated attraction at Silver Dollar City. Get to know the band online at: http://www.homesteadpickers.com/
