Every year we gather as a church and community to celebrate the freedom we enjoy in our nation and in our lives. This year we celebrated with Tim who has found freedom from a life of addiction, and we honored Dennis who is helping other men through Recovery in his community. Thank you to all who came out and enjoyed the evening with us!

Better Together -Trusting God in the Process
Scott and Adrienne were high school sweethearts who ended up going their separate ways. Fast-forward years later to a time when both found themselves at Heartland enrolled in the Recovery Programs. Listen as they share what brought them to Heartland, how God is now using them to help others through recovery, and ways they are still learning to support one another and trust God in the process.

Red Cross Blood Drive
Donors are invited to give at the next Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, June 28th in the Heartland Christian Academy Gym from 12-4pm. There are 38 appointments available; donors are welcome to register at the Red Cross website for a specific time to give (sponsor code: HeartlandMinistries), or call 1-800-RED CROSS with your preferred time. Walk-ins are welcome, but be prepared to wait if someone with an appointment is ahead of you.

Making Waves
In this year’s Vacation Bible School at Heartland Community Church, kids learned that what they do today can change the world around them. When you put your trust in Jesus, you can “make waves” because of His Spirit living inside you — by sharing God’s love with the people around you! Thanks to the GPS team for leading the way for a great VBS!

Ministry to children at Heartland Community Church is based first and foremost on the belief that EVERY CHILD is made in the image of God. Second, that EVERY CHILD has the potential to learn about God, to relate to God, and to trust and follow Jesus. Thirdly, is the belief that EVERY PARENT has a greater ability in influence to lead a child in their relationship with God.

Our GPS program utilizes the “Orange” curriculum, seeking to partner with parents for a greater influence and a lasting impact on the next generation. Through large group activities and small group meetings, our desire is to give every kid a caring leader and a safe community where they can grow spiritually.
